Recommended vaccinations include those against Hepatitis A and B, Diphtheria, Tetanus, Polio, Pertussis, Measles/Rubella and Typhoid. Most of these are simply a precaution, but it's best to be careful. However, the chances of becoming infected with one of these diseases are quite small. For a safe and relaxing trip, you warrant that you gather all the necessary information before you travel in this exotic land.
There is no vaccination against malaria or dengue, so you should protect yourself best by wearing long pants and long sleeves and use insect repellent. The most effective insect repellent DEET concentrations are between 30% and 50%, or Picaridin with concentrations of between 7% and 15%. You can also use natural insect repellents such as tea tree oil, lemon eucalyptus oil or cinnamon oil. These substances are safe and smell good.
